Manuscript File Conversion
Parchment Global Publishing will charge a small conversion fee for documents created under such documents as WordPerfect, Word Pad, and Microsoft Works.
The standard manuscript compliance process requires that a publisher should receive your manuscript as one file. Some authors may choose to send their manuscript to us in several files. We offer a file merging service to combine these parts into one document for both editorial services and layout.
Data Entry (STANDARD)
Here at Parchment, we can take your printed manuscript and convert it into a working digital file. Our professional staff can then work on your manuscript more efficiently. This service converts documents that have been typewritten. This excludes any handwritten documents or newspaper-type articles.
Data Entry (HANDWRITTEN)
Before, manuscripts written by hand were being scanned and published as an image. Now, Parchment gives you the option to have your book converted into a machine-editable text. Let us manually type each word and convert your manuscript into a digital text file. This service works for any handwritten manuscripts and other print materials that are not standard sheets of paper.
Hardcover Availability and Promotion Bundle
Just like your book’s paperback version, your hardcover will be made available through our extensive online book distribution network.
Library of Congress Control Number
The Library of Congress Control Number (LCCN) is a serially-based system of numbering and cataloging records in the United States Library of Congress.
US Copyright Registration
Registration of your work with the U.S. Copyright Office offers you with peace of mind as well as a public record of your ownership of the material. With the U.S. Copyright Registration service, (PUBLISHER) will complete and submit the necessary paperwork to the U.S. Copyright Office with a copy of your book. Once registration is complete, you will receive an official certificate that verifies your book’s coverage under U.S. copyright regulations.
