The Miami Book Fair
Originally known as “Books by the Bay” was founded in 1984 by Miami-Dade College Wolfson Campus
President, Eduardo J. Padrón, Books & Books owner, Mitchell Kaplan, Craig Pollock of BookWorks, as well as other local independent bookstore owners, in cooperation with the Miami Dade Public Library
System.
- The Miami Book Fair International’s mission is to promote reading, encourage writing and heighten an awareness of literacy and the literary arts in the city’s multi-ethnic community by promoting the craft and power of the written word.
- Organized by the Miami Dade or MDC largest college in the Florida College System with over 165,000
students, a state college located in Miami, Florida. - An eight-day literary party in November, two-day street fair with an estimated attendance for the 35th year of the fair is 200,000.
- Parchment Global’s exhibitor space in the Miami Book Fair International will be open for 3 days from November 22 to 24, 2019.
